7.23.2007 - Happy 5th birthday to Jubilee ! The puppies have found their way to thier new homes in Colorado, Texas and Idaho. They were a very cute and enjoyable bunch! This also means we no longer have puppies available from this mating, but please enjoy our photos.

6.19.2007 - There are new photos under 'week 5'. Everyone is learning to go outside after they are through with their meals. It's fun to watch them run out the front door and down the stairs. They especially like to burrow under the junpier and crawl around in the shrubs. Now if we can just teach them all to run back in the house !

6.14.2007 - New photos under week 4 ! Everybody is cute and doing great. They are getting three meals a day and their Mom isn't voluntarily letting go of her duties. What's next for the weebees ? A trip outside ! Stay tuned...

5.29.2007 - Yesterday the babies were two weeks old. Almost like clockwork they all opened their eyes within two days of each other. They are really, really adorable. Jubilee is enjoying them and lays on her back to nurse them when she gets the opportunity.  One thing we’ve noted about these guys is they are smaller than Hazel’s were at the same age (which doesn’t mean a whole lot in the end, they could end up bigger…). They are WIREY little things though, they seem to have a lot of tension in their bodies when they try and move. We have the gambit in personality already – from Mr. Laid-back to Miss Squeak about it all . Jubilee’s not so eager to share her brood with Nicco who gets swiped at every time he sticks his nose in the door. He’s had to settle for guarding the door. He leans against it so hard that he nearly falls in when you open it.

5.25.2007 - I have a bunch of photos from the last 10 days, just haven't had time to put them up! Look for them this weekend. The puppies are growing and we've noted they all look very much alike ! Cute !

5.13.2007 - It's the end of the day on Sunday and Jubilee is still just happily panting away, mostly undistressed. We are thinking that she didn't conceive exactly when she was inseminated so her due-date is reasonably pushed forward a day or two. We will be going into the vet tomorrow morning for a check if she doesn't start into active labor before then. Cross your fingers for us. We want everything to go right. If the vet says C, we go in and get 'em ! Of course, we could be completely jumping the gun because she's not abnormal, just taking her time. Can you tell it's driving me nuts ??? :)

5.6.2007 - Jubilee is getting quite large ! She is uncomfortable and sleeping a lot more than she has been. We are on the countdown to puppies at the end of this week and are very excited. New photos in 'gestation'.

4.29.2007 - Jubilee is huge and happy, not much more to say than that ! Hazel had her puppies today and Jubilee sat outside the den door listening the whole time. Nicco has adopted her while his other 'mom' is concentrating on her new puppies. We can feel the tikes kicking around inside of Jubilee and even see them pushing out here and there. 4.23.2007 - Jubilee hams it up for the camera this afternoon, see more of her pictures under 'gestation'. She is getting quite a bit of girth and now outsizes Hazel considerably. Jubilee has a great sense of humor about everything including being pregnant. We are getting the belly-shot frequently with her laying on her back, feet in the air. Pregnancy has spurred her toenails to grow very quickly - I am having to trim them every two or three days. It's a good thing she is cooperates.

4.6.2007 - Here is a photo of Jubilee at day 24 of her preganancy - sporting a bit of a belly !

4.3.2007 - Today is day 21 of Jubilee's pregnancy. Day 21 is typically when the puppy embryos implant and start to form real little doggies. It is amazing from 21 to 60 days they become function, breathing, eating, complete little dogs. Jubilee is growing more emotional as each day passes and demands her belly be rubbed and scratched. The vet shaved her when the did the artificial insemination and the fur growing back itches ! She is losing her tuck up - might be meaningful, might mean she's still too chubby ! We have 10 days before her ultrasound will tell us for sure.

3.21.2007 - Jubilee is her happy self and very to be out of season so she can resume her normal activities. Of course, at this point she is not giving up any of her secrets. She has a good appetite, but then she ALWAYS has a good appetite.

3.15.2007 - Jubilee returns home after her artificial insemination. Everything went about as normally as it can. Very special thanks to everyone involved along the way ! We will be waiting until April 12th, 30 days, to do a sonogram to confirm her pregnancy. Stay tuned ! We are happy to have her back home.
