What's with the bubbles?

Bubbles is Elsa's nickname. She earned it when she was younger because she was the canine equivalent of an air-head. We love our dog but she has a really over-the-top personality sometimes! Elsa is completely bulletproof - things bounce off her and pop because she is so rock solid.

Elsa is 6 now and while she has calmed down a little we are not willing to say that she is "calm" by anyones dog standards. She is a lot of fun though! We called her puppies the "baby bubbles" last time. And most of the kids ended up being a lot like her.

This photo to the right of Elsa cleaning her puppy is the 2nd most viewed photo on our Flickr web site. The entire set has more views than any other photos we have out on Flickr right now. About this mating

Elsa and Dutch are the last two dogs we have directly descended from Tom Wilson's Smokey City line. Tom Wilson sent us Sophie Ch.Smokey City Foxfire Sophia, BROM in 1994 and gave us our start as Weimaraner breeders. Tom passed away and while a lot of his dogs are still out there owned by dedicated enthusiasts, the nostalgia remains for us. Dutch is the product of his BIS/BISS/Nat'l Ch.Smokey City Riverboat Gambler "Rhett". Elsa is out of Ch.Smokey City Mob Boss, JH "Lucky" who was close to acheiving his Dual Championship. We are looking forward to the second (and final) installment of this combination.
